Wig Booking Policies
LACEWITHVIM — TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please read the following terms carefully before booking a lace wig service with HairWithVim. By booking a lace wig service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms.
1. WIG REQUIREMENTS
Clients are responsible for providing a suitable wig for their chosen service.
For the best results, HD lace and human-hair wigs are strongly recommended. 13x6 lace is preferred where possible, particularly for styles requiring flexibility with the parting or hairline. 13x4 lace is not recommended for certain styles due to its more limited lace space.
Please be aware that the quality and construction of your wig can significantly affect the final result.
Wigs purchased from low-cost or unverified suppliers may experience issues including excessive shedding, tangling, poor density, uneven construction, bald spots or lace that is unsuitable for bleaching or customisation.
HairWithVim cannot guarantee the outcome of a service where the quality, construction or condition of the wig prevents the requested result.
Where additional density is required, clients may be advised to provide or purchase matching human-hair bundles. Synthetic bundles are not recommended for lace wig customisation.
2. ALL WIGS MUST BE DROPPED OFF BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
All wigs must be dropped off before your appointment, including reinstalls.
This allows HairWithVim sufficient time to inspect, prepare and wash the wig before your appointment and identify any issues that may affect your service.
Wig Drop-Off Schedule
Monday & Tuesday appointments:
Wigs must be dropped off on the Wednesday before your appointment.
Thursday, Friday & Saturday appointments:
Wigs must be dropped off on the Sunday before your appointment.
This schedule ensures that your wig is received several days before your appointment, giving us enough time to inspect and prepare it properly.
If your wig is not dropped off within the required timeframe, your appointment may be affected and HairWithVim cannot guarantee that your requested service can be completed.
3. HOW TO PACKAGE & LABEL YOUR WIG
Your wig must be securely packaged in a suitable bag or package and sealed with sellotape before being placed into the designated wig drop-off facility.
The label must be clearly visible on the outside of the package and include only the following:
TO: HAIRWITHVIM
CLIENT FULL NAME:
APPOINTMENT DATE:
REQUESTED STYLE:
Please also include details of any issues you have noticed with the wig, such as shedding, tangling, thinning, lace damage, previous adhesive/glue, bald spots or any other concerns.
Your requested style must be included so that HairWithVim can assess whether the wig is suitable for the style you have booked.
4. WIG INSPECTION & QUALITY CONTROL
Every wig is subject to inspection before your appointment.
This inspection may include checking:
- Lace quality and condition
- Hair density
- Bald spots
- Shedding
- Tangling
- Wig construction
- Hair quality
- Previous customisation
- Whether the wig is suitable for the requested style
- Whether the wig can safely be washed, bleached, plucked or otherwise customised
If an issue is identified, HairWithVim will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the available options.
Where a wig is unsuitable for the requested service, HairWithVim reserves the right to refuse or modify the service.
5. WIG QUALITY & CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
HairWithVim is not responsible for defects or quality issues caused by the original manufacturer, supplier or previous stylist.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Poor-quality hair
- Excessive shedding
- Severe tangling
- Poor density
- Incorrect construction
- Weak or damaged lace
- Bald spots
- Poor-quality knots
- Lace that cannot safely be bleached
- Hair that cannot withstand the requested customisation
Where possible, HairWithVim will advise you of any concerns before your appointment.
6. DIRTY WIGS & PREVIOUS ADHESIVE
Wigs must be provided in a condition that allows HairWithVim to safely assess and prepare them.
Where a wig contains excessive adhesive, glue, product build-up or other residue, additional preparation may be required.
If extensive adhesive removal or additional work is required, an additional fee may apply or the requested service may need to be adjusted.
7. WIG REINSTALLS
Reinstall appointments are subject to the same wig drop-off and inspection requirements as new installations.
Your wig must be dropped off according to the designated drop-off schedule so it can be inspected and prepared before your appointment.
A reinstall does not guarantee that the wig will remain suitable for another installation. Wear, washing, adhesive use, shedding, lace damage and general deterioration can affect the condition of a wig over time.
8. STYLE SUITABILITY
Not every wig is suitable for every requested style.
The available lace space, density, construction, hairline, hair quality and overall condition of the wig may limit the styles that can be achieved.
If your requested style cannot reasonably be achieved with the wig provided, HairWithVim will discuss an alternative where possible.
9. CLIENT PREPARATION
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information when booking, including the correct service and requested style.
If you are unsure whether your wig is suitable, please contact HairWithVim before purchasing or booking where possible.
10. APPOINTMENT CHANGES DUE TO WIG ISSUES
If a significant issue is discovered during the pre-appointment inspection, HairWithVim will contact you.
Depending on the circumstances, you may be offered:
- An alternative style
- Additional hair or materials
- Additional preparation at an extra cost
- A rescheduled appointment
- Cancellation of the service where the wig is unsuitable
HairWithVim cannot be held responsible for problems caused by a wig that was supplied by the client.
11. DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
A deposit is required to secure your appointment.
Services under £150: £20 deposit.
Services over £150: £50 deposit.
Deposits are non-refundable and are subject to the cancellation and rescheduling terms outlined in the main Booking Policies.
Any remaining balance must be paid in accordance with the payment terms provided at the time of booking.
12. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 72 hours’ notice, subject to availability and the applicable £15 rescheduling fee.
Cancellations made with less than 72 hours’ notice are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
Failure to attend an appointment may result in the applicable cancellation fee and/or loss of your deposit.
13. LATE ARRIVALS
Please arrive on time for your appointment.
Late arrival may reduce the time available for your service. Where the delay significantly affects the appointment, HairWithVim reserves the right to modify, shorten or cancel the appointment, with applicable charges remaining payable.
14. AFTERCARE & RESULTS
HairWithVim will provide appropriate aftercare guidance where necessary.
The longevity and appearance of your installation or customised wig will depend on factors including hair quality, lace quality, maintenance, sleeping habits, products used, heat, moisture and general wear.
Once the wig has been collected or the service has been completed, responsibility for ongoing maintenance and care rests with the client.
15. REFUNDS, REDOS & SERVICE CONCERNS
Please raise any concerns about your service as soon as possible.
HairWithVim will assess genuine service-related concerns on a case-by-case basis.
A redo or correction does not automatically apply where an issue is caused by:
- The quality or condition of the client’s wig
- Normal wear and tear
- Incorrect aftercare
- Failure to follow aftercare instructions
- Changes made to the wig by another person
- Products or treatments applied after the appointment
- Damage caused by the client
HairWithVim reserves the right to determine whether a correction is appropriate.
16. WIG DROP-OFF SECURITY
Wigs must only be placed inside the designated HairWithVim wig drop-off facility.
Do not leave wigs unattended outside the studio, in communal areas or in an unsecured location.
HairWithVim is not responsible for wigs left anywhere other than the designated drop-off facility.
17. AGREEMENT
By booking a lace wig service with HairWithVim, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Lace With Vim Terms & Conditions.
If you have any questions about your wig, requested style or suitability, please contact HairWithVim before your appointment.
